| Good Relations Connecting Communities Project of the Year Award
Kyleigh, of Mae Murray Foundation, is a fantastic advocate for disabled people and their loved ones, and a promoter of good relations between every and all communities. She works tirelessly to run programmes and projects which allow people of all- ages and abilities to take part in activities, experience the world and enjoy friendship together in a truly inclusive environment, as well as designing and implementing permanent solutions in everyday environments to break down unnecessary barriers to participation. The Inclusive Beach project has created 5 planned beach environments across Northern Ireland where people of all ages, abilities, communities, and backgrounds can take part and be included. Kyleigh and MMF introduced Northern Ireland’s first and only wheelchair surfboard, and influence policy on commissioning further Inclusive Beaches in Northern Ireland and beyond. By creating opportunities such as the Inclusive Beach project, where people of all-ages and abilities come together regardless of community background, Kyleigh and MMF have encouraged good relations, tackled stigmas head on, broken down barriers, and made real societal change in Northern Ireland.
